Mini Etruscan Trail

Riding-outs at Cornacchino and a little bit of Etruscan Trail. A combination of riding-outs at Cornacchino and short Etruscan trail, during which we explore the ancient paths of the Etruscans, the early inhabitants of Italy - long before the age of the Roman empire. This is an excellent package for those who are curious about trying a full trek on horseback.

Two hours on horseback the first three days in the valleys and woods surrounding the Cornacchino, followed by three days of travel.

In the three days of trekking, unlike the tast of Trekking, at the end of each travel day, we will stop in farms with our horses. In these three days of trekking we will discover the lands of the Etruscans, their hollow streets and necropolises excavated in the tuff, passing through Sovana, Pitigliano and Sorano.

Highlight

  • Delicious Tuscan cuisine
  • Riding-outs at Cornacchino
  • Riding through the Etruscan “vie cave” (canyons cut in tuff rock)
  • Mezzano Lake
  • Medieval villages
  • Gorgeous landscapes
