Taste of Trekking

The Taste of Trekking program is ideal for those who wish to approach horse trekking for the first time, in a gradual, safe, and enjoyable way.

The week begins with beautiful trail rides around Cornacchino, allowing riders to gain confidence with the horse, the environment, and the rhythm of riding.

In the second part of the stay, the experience deepens with three consecutive days of trekking, offering the chance to fully enjoy the feeling of traveling on horseback, immersed in nature.

A carefully designed program that guides participants step by step, respecting individual pace and experience, and providing a first authentic and memorable trekking experience.

The Taste of Trekking program is designed for riders who are approaching horse trekking for the first time, offering a gradual, safe, and well-organized experience.

Program

The stay includes 7 nights with full board.

During the first three days, riders enjoy approximately 2 hours of horseback riding per day around Cornacchino, building confidence with the horse, the surroundings, and the riding rhythm.

The second part of the week is dedicated to three consecutive days of horse trekking.

At the end of each trekking day, after leaving the horses at specially equipped resting points, participants return to Cornacchino by minibus for dinner and overnight stay.

During the trekking days, we will explore the fascinating land of the Etruscans, riding through ancient sunken roads (vie cave) and visiting tufa-carved necropolises dating back more than 2,000 years.

    Food & Accommodation

    During your stay, you will be warmly looked after by our cooks, who prepare healthy, wholesome meals made with care and attention, designed to support the body and accompany the activities of the day.
    
Our kitchen takes into account the main dietary needs and choices, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.

    If you wish to enjoy an even deeper experience of grounding and connection with nature, in addition to staying in our comfortable rooms, you will also have the opportunity to sleep in one of our tepees: romantic, spacious, and cozy, surrounded by the silence of the forest and gently accompanied by the call of owls.

    An invitation to slow down and reconnect with the natural rhythm of the days, among horses, good food, and moments of genuine relaxation, peace, and well-being.

    Transfer, personal travel insurance, beverages, entrance fees to parks or museums.

    The Horse:

    The guide after a briefing with the participants assigns the horses, that will be confirmed after having seen riding the participants. Horses can be changed at the discretion of the guide or instructor at any time.

    Landscape:

    Dirt roads, trails in the woods and fields, Etruscan caves, meadows, riverbed and short stretches of paved roads.

    Stages:

    About 5 hour riding per day

    Food & beverage:

    Breakfast and dinner in our restaurant. A picnic lunch in the middle of nature.  The picnic is prepared in the morning and taken in the saddlebags.

    Transfer:

    In the evening from the place where the horses remain for the night, a van takes us back to Cornacchino and the next morning brings us to the horses again.

    Equipment:

    Comfortable shoes for walking, avoid boots with smooth soles and clothes too tight, comfortable and robust trousers, raincoat, sun hat, swimsuit.

    Suggestion:

    The program may be modified at any time due to prevailing weather conditions or technical reasons.
